Star-Naming Gift Set or Star-Naming Gift Set with Astronomy Software from Name A Star Live (Up to 64% Off)
Like young children, most inanimate objects can freely self-identify but are too afraid to expose their shoddy cursive handwriting. Give the gift of universal identity with today’s Groupon—a chance to name your own star courtesy of Name A Star Live . Choose between the following options: For $14, you get an instant gift set plus (a $29.90 value). For $29, you get an instant gift set premium , with an astronomy software add-on (a $79.80 value). Name A Star Live allows the name of a friend or loved one to become the classification of a faraway twinkling star. As in most pet adoptions, each proud parent is free to choose his or her own furry ball of plasma. A real rocket ship will launch the name and dedication message into the earth’s orbit to mark the celestial occasion. The adopted star will have only one name, which is recorded in the database, and a star certificate and astronomical star chart are instantly emailed to the honoree, which help show the star’s precise location as well as coordinates needed to spot the star in the night sky. The software included with the premium package convinces computers to display NASA images, astronomy and space mission websites, and three-dimensional images of Mars. The premium-level gift also presents an 8.5″x11″ astrophotograph of the constellation, with a detailed inset profiling the cosmological neighborhood and your star’s location within it. Check your giant gaseous sphere’s status at the time of naming, and revisit it again and again with the software’s virtual planetarium to see if it has sprung any new orbiting civilizations that speak English. Family Recipes and Authentic Pueblan Cuisine in Its Native Setting The culinary-travel specialists at CookingVacations.com by Epitourean create food-focused itineraries for adventurous eaters, highlighting authentic regional cuisine in its own setting through tours, cooking classes, and gourmet meals. This deal takes the culinary curious to the Puebla region of Mexico, known for its moles poblano, chilis en nogada, and much more. Each Puebla Culinary Vacation includes the following for each person: A six-night stay in a private house room at Casa Carmelita outside Tlaxcala, Mexico A welcome party with cocktails and appetizers Daily 2.5- to 3-hour classes in traditional Puebla-style cooking, ending in a three-course meal A chef-guided market visit in Tlaxcala A guided tour of historical Tlaxcala sights A second cocktail party with live guitar performance Ground transport to/from Mexico City or Puebla airports Breakfast, lunch, and dinner each day of your stay Upon arrival at the airport in either Mexico City or Puebla, private shuttles whisk adventurers to the Casa Carmelita, a traditional bed and breakfast situated on pastoral farmland about 5 miles outside of Tlaxcala. After settling into their rooms—each of which includes a private bathroom and fireplace—guests assemble for a cocktail party to meet their hosts and make traditional margaritas. Each day, Señora Estela Salas Silva leads the group in a 2.5- to 3-hour hands-on cooking class, using recipes learned from her grandmother, chef Doña Eulogia Silva Castillo. Customizing her instruction to match the experience level of each individual, Señora Silva imparts the intricacies and secrets of traditional Pueblan meals, such as almond chicken, and dishes crafted by her family, such as chipotles in conserva. Each lesson also recounts the region’s history, from pre-Hispanic times up to the present, then concludes with a scrumptious three-course meal. There will also be time to take a tour of historical Tlaxcala, Mexico, a former Spanish colonial city rife with monuments, museums, and picturesque ruins. The town captivates with history at sites such as the former Capilla Real de Indios, built in the 16th century, and the Holy Cross Fountain, a gift of Spanish King Phillip IV in 1646. Another first-hand culinary experience awaits at the city market, where a local chef leads the group in selecting fresh produce and demonstrates how to build an entire maze out of corn tortillas.
