Is Bastrop, Texas Safe?
I just want to know how Bastrop, TX is like. I purchased a lot in the Tahitian Village a few years back but have never visited it. So how is it? I know it is 25 minutes away from Austin. What are the stores in Bastrop? What are the people like? What is the dominant religion? What do people do for fun?

I’ve only driven through it many times (including driving through the downtown area) and it seems pretty safe to me. I never really hear about crime there. It’s basically a small town with a lot of suburbs and it’s a growing area. There are plenty of stores there — a lot of new ones. There’s also some camping areas around there. I think you’ll enjoy the area. Just watch out for the wildfires! They have had several this year.
For fun, I’d say people drive into Austin… but Bastrop does have an entertainment complex with bowling, a movie theater, etc…
There probably isn’t a dominant religion there. You’ll probably find a good mix of all types of people. No idea really.
