It’s an acceptable deal. Austin Kearns can hit the ball far, but his average is always low and never played with more than 400 AB. Johnny Damon is more stable.
It comes to the details of your roster – with Johnny, you get more R, SB and better AVG. You might lose some RBI and HR (if Austin Kearns plays more than 400 AB). You have to decide which category you want to improve.
Harden for Santana is actually not bad. The only thing you lose would be K, but you can get more wins back. They have similar ERA and WHIP.

No deal. Keep what you have.

Sounds like a pretty fair deal to me. I actually think you might want to make that trade. Santana is probably a bit better than Harden (maybe), but Damon is an upgrade over Kearns. The only thing that might scare me off is that Damon seems to be nursing a lot of early injuries (shoulder, foot) that might catch up to him.

no way….santana may be struggling now but he always starts slow…harden is good, but he’s not nearly good enough to give up santana even though you are upgrading by getting damon for kearns

Its a terrible deal. Johan Santana is the top pitcher in fantasy baseball, while Harden is extremely injury prone and Damon is not going to provide much power or steals (the Yankees don’t run much, although he will get you plenty of hits and runs). Hang on the Santana unless you are getting A-Rod or Pujols in return, and see if you can trade one of your other ptichers (Bedard might fetch you a high value in return, since he is 4-0 right now).

sounds good to me, you know Damons gonna get you some HR’s and RBI’s, Santana’s just a bonus.

I think that’s a coin flip. Kearns is a good hitter who is on an offense team so it’s not as if he’s inept. Damon gets on base and steals some bases and plus, he’s in the Yanks lineup meaning tons of runs.
Harden is good but not Johan good. I still think that’s a coin flip. It’s totally up to you.

No deal. Although there has to be a better free agent outfielder than kearns
